Mason Jar Storage with Chalkboard Labels

If your house is anything like mine, you can always use more storage!  This quick and easy DIY is great way to reduce, re-use, and recycle your old, left over jars and re-purpose them to clear the clutter for almost anything you have lying around your house. 

Supplies:

  • Jars +/- lids depending if you are making drinking glasses or storage containers 
  • Chalkboard paint 
  • Paint, color of your choosing 
  • 2 small paint brushes
  • Paper bags for work station protection

Step 1:
Soak jars in hot soapy water to losen and remove the labels

Step 2:
Using your paint of choice, paint the lids of the jars, may require additional coats to cover original labeling. 

Step 3:
Using your other paint brush, paint a line on the jar about 1 1/2 inches thick and set aside to dry.

Step 4:
Using a piece of chalk or a chalk marker, label your jars accordingly.
