DIY 4th of July Glitter Star Crown

Does anyone else LOVE the 'crown-craze' that seems to be popping up all over the web? I know I do! Whether it's for a festival or just to add some extra pep to an outfit, it's fun to adorn your head with flowers...or in this case--stars! This super simple DIY will take your 4th of July look to the next level!

  • Foam in red, white, & blue
  • Glitter in red, gold, & blue
  • Spray adhesive
  • Hot glue
  • Pencil
  • 3 paper plates
  • Headband
  • Scissors

Step 1: On each color of foam, draw 2 stars in varying sizes. Cut out the stars and set them on a paper plate.

Step 2: In a well-ventilated area, spray the stars thoroughly with spray adhesive and immediately apply glitter. Shake excess glitter back into the glitter bottle. Repeat process for each color.

Step 3: Starting with the largest stars, hot glue the center of the star along the top of the headband. Alternating colors, continue gluing the stars in layers, largest down first, then medium, then small. I didn't end up using every star, but had plenty to work with to create just the right mixture of sizes and colors!

Step 4: Wear and enjoy! :D
